You already rock a tough schedule. You already have good intentions and take right actions to create better self-care around a whirlwind schedule. You are already doing really well.

You just need to put your activities in a slightly different order and maybe adjust the duration of the things you’re doing. You just need some realignment — and that’s what we’re going to talk about today.

Good news: you’re not broken, and you make good use of your time. For the most part, you’re just doing things at the wrong time.

If you are surviving but not yet thriving, don’t worry. This video will give you three places in your schedule to realign according to nature’s clock and what your body needs at specific times of day.

This realignment will make all the difference in your stress and energy levels — I promise.

Like I said, you’re already doing so many good things. They just need to be placed in better time slots.


Understanding the Clock

First, you have to understand the clock — and I’m going to explain this from an Ayurvedic perspective.

Ayurveda is the science of life or longevity. It stems from India over 5,000 years ago and teaches that we are whole people — mind, body, and spirit — and that each person is unique.

There are certain energies that rule different times of day. When we do the wrong activities at the wrong times, we feel off — not quite like ourselves — because we’re not aligned with the energy of nature.


1. Wake Before the Sun

Stick with me — this is one of the most powerful things you can do.

According to Ayurveda, if you wake before the sun — even just 10 minutes — you tap into an energy of movement called Vata energy.

This energy gives you momentum for the entire day. It’s like waking up with wind in your sails.

Before the sun rises, birds start chirping and animals start moving. That energy is already happening in nature — and you can plug into it.

Even 10 minutes before sunrise makes a difference. Ideally 30 minutes, but start where you can.


2. Go to Bed Before 10 PM

I know — you’re a high achiever. After 10 PM you suddenly feel productive. You get ideas. You want to clean, organize, or finish things.

I get it.

But here’s what’s happening:

Before 10 PM, the energy is slow and grounding — it helps you wind down. After 10 PM, a new energy kicks in — Pitta energy, the energy of transformation.

Its job is to process your food, thoughts, and emotions while you sleep.

But if you stay awake, that energy keeps you activated. You feel alert, thinking, planning, maybe even replaying the day.

This can lead to sleep issues, digestion problems, and difficulty waking up in the morning.

Morning and night are connected. When you go to bed earlier, it becomes easier to wake up before the sun.

Most people are only 15–30 minutes off from where they should be — and adjusting that makes everything feel smoother.


3. Eat Lunch (Yes, Really)

This might sound simple, but it’s huge.

Your digestive fire is strongest around noon. That’s when your body is best equipped to digest a full meal.

But most busy people:

  • skip lunch

  • eat something small

  • snack all afternoon

  • then eat a large dinner

This throws everything off.

When you don’t eat enough at lunch, you crave snacks later. Then you eat a heavy dinner when your digestion is slowing down.

This affects your energy, your sleep, and your ability to wake up feeling good.

So yes — eat lunch. A real lunch. A nourishing lunch.


Bringing It Together

This is your opportunity to realign your day.

You don’t have to do everything at once. Start with one:

  • Wake up a little earlier

  • Go to bed a little sooner

  • Eat a proper lunch

These are small daily practices that make a big difference in how you feel.

They help you reclaim your schedule and create a life on your terms.
